Is this a good idea for a book or not?

ok, so the minotaurs, the half bull half human guys, they are more like the humans of the continent the book is based on, there are still humans on it, but they are like a legend of advanced apes told by little children and storytellers, the minotaurs are the dominant race of the continent next to dragons and wyverns, the flying species, and they are allies with the boars and wolves, and they wage war on the elves, does that sound like a good book idea? its medivel, but there is gun powder, like cannons and muskets.
